For the 2022 Bakery Competition in Sweden, I created a poster and a short video as part of a project to practice the photo scan workflow and improve my lighting skills in Blender. My goal was to capture a fun and festive atmosphere through the use of lighting.
The poster and video showcase the competition's playful and celebratory spirit, while demonstrating my proficiency in using Blender's lighting features.
Process:
Photo Scan
I created a cupcake model using photographs and generated it using Meshroom. By utilizing Meshroom's powerful capabilities, I was able to transform a series of photos into a 3D model that accurately captures the unique features of the cupcake.
Flip fluid simulation (Houdini)
The simulation of melting chocolate was created by using Houdini and then exported as a .usd file to Blender for material and scene setup.
The final scene was then set up in Blender, followed by the final compositing stage in Nuke.
